Wool hats are quickly becoming an Autumm/Winter staple, but it after that impulse purchase it can be confusing on how to style them. Below I’ll show you how to style them for Work, Weekend, and Date Night.
For work I’d pair a wide brim wool hat with a loose blouse, and patterned trousers. Leave your hair straight and throw on some court shoes and a large watch, with a tassel necklace and you have the perfect outfit to wear to work.
Keep things casual on the weekends with a flat wide brimmed wool hat, a side braid, toss on a cozy flannel and a pair of slim boyfit destressed jeans. Cuff your jeans and pair them them with a cute pair of ankle boots. Add a hobo bag and a leather jacket and you’re ready for everything from the farmers market, to brunch, or dinner.
For Date night glam things up a bit with this floppy brimmed wool hat and voluminous waves. Wear a Chiffon shift dress and over the knee boots. Keep the look very simple with a dainty layered necklaces and a fringe bucket bag.
Tips for wearing a hat:
If you’re nervous about wearing your new hat, remember confidence is key, you can pull anything off.
If you have blunt bangs, set the hat a little farther back on your head than you would normally, so it’s at your partline for your bangs rather than on your forehead, smashed bangs are not a good look.
If you have trouble getting your hat to stay on, you may have bought the wrong size, you can remedy this with a few bobby pins sewn inside, or if your brave enough a hat pin.
