Fall has to be my favorite time of the year! I love the colors, the leaves changing, the cooler weather and the beginning of the holidays starting off with Halloween and Thanksgiving. As Autumn approaches and the weather cools down, you can find that there are so many things to do with your family and friends during this time of the year. Now depending on where you live, some of these may need to be adjusted, but most can be done just in time to get into the spirit of Fall. Here is a list of fun fall activities you can do this season!
Pumpkin patches are my favorite thing to go to in the Fall. I love going with my family because they are full of different things to do there. You can go on hay rides, apple picking, eat fresh harvest corn and other delicious food and even take home different size pumpkins to decorate. It could also be a fun thing to do with a date as well or just a friend if you don’t want to go in a group.
Toast Pumpkin Seeds
Go ahead and get some pumpkins to carve and put all over your home! Something fun about carving pumpkins is taking out the pumpkin seed and baking them in the oven. I usually put them on a tray and sprinkle a little bit of salt on top of them and bake them until they are crispy. In addition to your beautifully carved pumpkins, you also get a delicious snack!
Pumpkin Spiced Foods
During the Fall season, stores bring out their seasonal flavors such as pumpkin spice and pecan pie. Starbucks and other coffee shops have their pumpkin spice lattes and fraps ready for customers, but it’s important to get them while you can because they are usually only available during the season which is why it’s something great to look forward to.
Piles of Leaves
This was always so much fun to do in autumn when all the leaves would change colors and fall of the trees. We would rake all the leaves and have a huge leaf fight only to make a complete mess again. If you don’t live in an area that experiences this type of weather, don’t worry! There are so many other ways to experience fall too!
Cozy Nights In
I really do enjoy staying in more often when the weather gets a bit colder. It doesn’t have to be boring either. Have some friends over for a movies night with Fall foods like caramel apples, popcorn, pumpkin pie and other festive snack foods.
A really fun part of Fall is changing up your wardrobe. What’s in for Fall? Try switching your sandals for boots and your tank tops to knit sweaters. Go for more neutral tones and maroons. Even changing up your lipstick color from corals and pinks to reds and burgundy. It’s the perfect way to get into the Fall spirit.
These are some of my most favorite fun Fall activities that anyone can do to get ready for Autumn. Most importantly, this season is all about love and happiness, so spend the season with the ones you love and start some new traditions that can last a lifetime.
