Great Organizing Ideas

I am a huge fan of storage and making sure everything has a place in my home. ┬áNothing bothers me more than unnecessary clutter on my floors and counter tops. Living in smaller spaces doesn’t give much room to be able to put everything you have away because you don’t have extra closets and storage spaces for the items you need to put away when you’re not using them.

I’ve discovered that there are millions of creative ways to store items depending on how much space you have and what kind of items you’re looking to store. Even if you find you don’t have much space to organize your items properly, there might be a better way you can reorganized your space to better fit your items. Here are some great organizing ideas you can incorporate into your space to reduce clutter and clean it up a bit.

Start off by organizing your kitchen cabinets. If you have a lot of cabinetry in your kitchen, be sure to utilize this space because you can fit a lot in them. Lower cabinets can be used to store pots and pans while upper cabinets can neatly store items such as kitchen supplies, canned foods and spices.

If you have a panty, organize each shelf using different storage containers and jars. Adding labels to containers will really keep your items in order also.

I find that the bathroom is an easy place to leave items out and open because we often use certain toiletries daily and many people do not see the sense in putting them away so they will leave them out. If your bathroom is pretty tiny, consider installing shelves on the wall or cabinets to get that clutter off your counter. The shelves are great for organizing towels and toilet paper as well. If you have any items you feel wouldn’t look nice on the shelves, you can always store them in wicker baskets and then place them on the shelf or underneath your vanity if you wish.

I personally have a lot of beauty products such as lotions, perfumes, creams, makeup, etc., so it’s important for me to find creative organizing ideas to store them where I can use them daily and then put them away when I’m done. If you’re like me, consider adding some kind of rack or holder for your blow dryer, hair straightener/curling iron and brushes you use. As far as makeup goes, you can easily go to a container store and purchase bins to hold small eyeshadows and lipsticks that way they do not get ruined.

In my bedroom, I actually have a bed that has storage drawers underneath and I love them! They are the perfect drawers to use for your panties and bras or even bathing suits. Adding shelving units to the walls, storage cubes, bookcases, files cabinets, and tower racks are all great idea when looking for extra storage in a bedroom.

Organizing your home and organizing your household items can be a lot easier with a great amount of space, but if that is not an option for you, there is always a way to keep your things in order. Consider different types of storage containers and working with the type of living space you have. This will ensure a cleaner, clutter-free home.
